Community Access Programming

Local Television Content

Submit Your Community Access Programming Ideas

We are pleased to accept completed shows and new show ideas. Connect to our program information guide which will assist you in submitting your program proposal and remember, Shaw is available to assist with the production if required. The community channel is a free service provided by Shaw Cablesystems and does not purchase television programming. There is no charge to you or your group to produce any local television or televise your event. Sponsorship revenues may be used to offset the cost of producing or televising your proposal or event. The community channel is focused on Metro Vancouver and its people, issues, arts and entertainment. Programming should reflect local viewpoints, activities and diverse voices that are not being heard.

Afterhours

Afterhours

After Hours recently celebrated 30 years of television. After Hours is a half hour format program aired 2 times a week. Originally from the East Van Office, After Hours target audience was that of the East Side and Downtown East Side residents. Through time, we know, After Hours satisfies a much larger audience in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Our topics of discussion can be anything: arts, culture, science, environment, animals, music, politics, economics, writers, and filmmakers of local, regional, provincial, and national interest.
