I am a Shaw Internet customer. How do I connect to Shaw Go WiFi?

When you're at a Shaw Go WiFi hotspot:

  1. Open the WiFi settings on your device
  2. Select "ShawOpen"
  3. Open a Web browser

If you’ve registered your device, you'll automatically connect every time you're at a hotspot. If not, you’ll be prompted to sign in with your Shaw ID or @Shaw.ca email.

Will it cost extra to use Shaw Go WiFi?

No. Shaw Go WiFi is free with all Shaw Internet plans.

Will I have to enter in my login credentials every time
I want to connect to Shaw Go WiFi?

No, not if you're using one of the devices registered within your plan. With Shaw Go WiFi, you only need to log in once to automatically connect in any Shaw Go WiFi hotspot across Western Canada. However, if you're using a device that's not registered to your account (a 4th device on a 3-device plan, for example) you'll need to manually login to connect. But don't worry, it's still free.

How do I get a Shaw ID?

A Shaw ID lets you connect to Shaw services like Shaw Go WiFi, My Account, FreeRange TV and more. If you don’t have a Shaw ID, you can create a Shaw ID now.

How many devices can I connect?

You can connect with as many devices as you like. However, your home Internet plan determines the number of devices you can auto-connect. Learn more 

If you'd like to use additional devices beyond what's included with your Internet plan, that's no problem. You'll just need to manually log in each time you're in a Shaw Go WiFi hotspot.
